The Master Cylinders 4-12-13 at P-House

Master Cylinders performed live on 4-12-13 at Panther Mountain Inn, Chestertown, NY from 9p to 1a to a packed house and a full dance floor all night long. Playing long sets of 2.5 hours, break, then finishing the last 90 minutes, this is one hard working and continuous rocking band the likes of which I've yet to see on the local circuit until now.

My Fave of the night, Led Zeppelin:

Jimmy Wilcox is the former drummer from Blue Oyster Cult and pounded the drums expertly.

All the band members are at the top of their game, tight and extremely talented. Playing all cover songs with a wide variety of decades top hits, with no original songs as of yet, their music keeps the dance floor hot all night (as my videos will show).

Band members are:

Jimmy Wilcox - Drums & Vocals, original member & MAIN CONTACT
Pat Cifone -Guitar,vocals, original member and very huggable
Hayden Sias - Slapping de bass, vocals, and an original member
Matt Donnelly- Keyboards & vocals

The lead guitar player, Pat Cifone, is magnificent both in guitar and vocals, he does a mean spot on Johnny Cash (which I didn't film). I truly enjoyed the bass thumping guitar solos of Hayden Sias, and his energy and playfulness throughout the night. Tickling the keys like a pro, Matt Donnelly definitely adds pizzazz with a range of sounds & effects, as well as keeping the crowd of dancers pumped up. I can't recommend this band highly enough, so if you ever get a chance to see them, don't pass it by.

Collette & the Mudcats 4-5-13 Panther Mountain Inn

Collette and the Mudcats performed live at the Panther Mountain Inn, Chestertown, NY on April 5, 2013 from 9p-1a. Quite a repertoire of songs were played this evening from blues & folk, to southern & classic rock. With a new drummer (unnamed on their website), the band consists of Collette Blessing (lead vocals), Steve Pastore (lead guitar & vocals), Garard McDonald (vocals, electric, acoustic & piano guitar) & Joe McDowell (Bass, harmonica, vocals).

For more info and booking, see the band's website at:

Voodoo Woman

Collette's famous voodoo doll mic stand adds hilarity to the show with some audience laughter as she explains a bit about it before the song Voodoo Woman. (Photo via their website, contact them using the link above for permission to reuse any images shown here).

My 1st love in music is classic blues rock, so this band is a win/win for me. Their show consisted of different songs than I'd heard them do before because they have a new drummer still getting familiar with the usual playlists, which normally include Johnny Lang for example, but didn't this night.

Collette has a set of pipes such as I've never heard in a local band, and guitarist Steve Pastore has an amazing talent on lead. Garard played a guitar-piano on many of the numbers, something I'd never heard done locally (or in any band except perhaps Led Zeppelin). Joe's harmonica added the perfect notes to these classic cover songs, though I can't imagine how difficult it must be to play 2 instruments at once, each with a different melody, and keep them straight as he does so well.
